22,600 Tokens Launched on Robinhood Chain: Memecoins Shine Over Tokenized Stocks
Robinhood Chain hit a daily record on August 30 with 5.52 million transactions and approximately $875 million in decentralized exchange volume; activity on the network was concentrated in memecoin trading rather than tokenized stocks.
Robinhood’s new blockchain network outperformed Ethereum in application revenue on its busiest day. According to a CoinDesk report based on DefiLlama data, applications on the network generated approximately $2.66 million in revenue within 24 hours. This figure was nearly double the revenue of applications on Ethereum and six times that of the Base network. However, this revenue is not money flowing into Robinhood’s corporate coffers; it represents the earnings gathered by the applications on the network from their users.
According to on-chain data, 5.52 million transactions were processed on August 30. The total volume on platforms where users trade directly without a central intermediary reached approximately $875 million. $432 million of this volume occurred on the new version of Uniswap, while $357 million took place on the previous version.
Memecoin production accelerates on Robinhood Chain
The primary driver of network usage was found in rapidly created speculative tokens rather than tokenized stocks. Approximately 22,600 tokens were created in a single day on Pons, a platform that allows users to launch, buy, and sell new tokens through their wallets. Daily production increased by more than 40 percent compared to the previous day.
Pons, GMGN, and Uniswap generated approximately 88 percent of the total application revenue on the network. Robinhood Chain was launched on July 1, highlighting tokenized stocks as its primary use case. In contrast, while the network’s daily transaction count rose from under 1 million in early July to over 5 million, the most intense activity was concentrated in applications used for memecoin production and trading.
