87% of Binance Altcoins Clear Key Threshold: Two Warnings Behind the Rally
While 87% of altcoins on Binance are trading above the 200-day moving average, rising transfers to exchanges and weakening momentum are drawing attention to the rally’s prospects for continuing.
According to an analysis by CryptoQuant, the altcoin market has seen a clear shift in direction since August. At the time, 80% of altcoins on Binance were below the 200-day moving average, but that figure has now fallen to 13%. The share of altcoins above this indicator, which is used to track the long-term trend, has thus reached 87%.
The rally has also been reflected in total market capitalization. Total2, which tracks the combined market capitalization of cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin, including Ethereum, has grown by more than $371 billion since June 2026; the increase over a few months has reached approximately 45%.

Altcoins are moving back onto exchanges
The first warning sign is the number of altcoins being sent to exchanges. The seven-day total of deposits exceeded 22,700 on Binance and 8,300 on Coinbase; approximately 32,000 transactions were also recorded on other exchanges. Altcoin transfers to exchanges have thus reached levels not seen since October 2025, when the previous market peak occurred.
This activity is being watched for potential selling pressure following the rally. However, the number of deposits remains below the levels seen at the start of the previous bull cycle.

The RSI indicator is struggling to keep pace with the rally
The second warning sign is a bearish divergence in the relative strength index (RSI), which measures the strength of Total2’s price movement. This divergence indicates that momentum is not supporting the price rise with equal strength, and, alongside rising transfers to exchanges, is adding to concerns that the altcoin rally could lose steam.
