Bitcoin-Selling Whale Turns to Ethereum: Buys 18,780 ETH in Three Days

Lookonchain reported that a whale sold 602 Bitcoin in the last three days to purchase 18,780 Ethereum, worth approximately $45.83 million.

According to Lookonchain’s post dated September 21, 11 newly created wallets likely belong to the same whale. The wallets sold 602 BTC on Hyperliquid and used the roughly $45.83 million generated to purchase Ethereum.

Whale Shifts from Bitcoin to Ethereum

A total of 18,780 ETH was purchased as a result of the transactions. Thus, the wallet group’s activity over the last three days was recorded as a portfolio rotation, reducing its Bitcoin position and switching to a similar-sized position in Ethereum.

Lookonchain did not state that the common owner of the wallets has been confirmed; however, it noted that they could be linked to the same whale due to being newly created and performing similar transactions.

This movement covers a different period from the previous data shared by the source on September 18. It was reported that in the preceding five-day period, wallets associated with the same whale sold 1,107 BTC, purchased 34,422 ETH for approximately $86.5 million, and staked these assets. The latest post highlights the sale of 602 BTC and the purchase of 18,780 ETH during the current three-day period.
