Strategy CEO Phong Le is transforming the company from a mere Bitcoin (BTC) vault into a comprehensive digital finance platform by building a massive $4.75 billion reserve in line with institutional investors’ demand for cash liquidity.

Having operated with a “Bitcoin-only” philosophy for years, Strategy has undergone a strategic course correction by creating a multi-billion dollar cash buffer. Company CEO Phong Le explained that they realized institutional investors and short-term funds value cash liquidity more than Bitcoin’s (BTC) own liquidity. The cash reserve established for this purpose has reached a strength capable of covering approximately 2.7 years of dividend payments on its own. “Would I prefer to hold Bitcoin? Maybe,” Le stated, noting that this change was a necessary move to meet investor demands.

A New Era of Digital Finance: Becoming the Central Bank of Bitcoin

Strategy currently holds approximately 840,000 BTC, representing 4 percent of the total supply. Due to this massive position, CEO Phong Le describes the firm as the “central bank of Bitcoin” and a leading market indicator. The company’s vision is to establish a structure where other firms develop financial solutions on top of Strategy products, similar to Apple’s iPhone ecosystem. Le emphasizes that they aim to become the “JP Morgan of digital finance” and reach a broader investor base by reducing volatility with products like STRC.

Growth in the company’s core software business continues with determination. While software revenues increased by 7 percent year-over-year, cloud subscriptions recorded a remarkable rise of 54 percent. With approximately 1,500 employees, Strategy continues to grow in the world of digital lending, supporting its Bitcoin operations with expertise in fields such as law, finance, and artificial intelligence.
