ETF Inflows and Binance Capital Flows Peak as Bitcoin Surpasses $80,000
The Bitcoin rally gained momentum alongside spot ETF inflows and over $470 million in USDC inflows on Binance.
According to data provided by CryptoQuant.com, Binance received more than $470 million in net USDC inflows on August 24. USDC, a stablecoin that aims to maintain its dollar value, can increase trading liquidity on the exchange. Net inflow means the amount entering the platform exceeds the amount leaving. This movement was Binance’s strongest positive USDC flow since March 3 and reached a 174-day high.

Similar momentum was experienced on the ETF side. The seven-day average net inflow for U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, which offer investment opportunities in Bitcoin’s price without direct custody, reached 3,820 BTC on August 21. This value was recorded as the highest level seen since early January. Between August 17-21, total net inflows were approximately 26,700 BTC and $1.92 billion. According to Farside Investors data, all five trading days were positive.

Spot ETF and Binance USDC Flows Peak During Bitcoin Rally
Bitcoin rose approximately 23 percent in the week ending August 21. This was the strongest weekly increase in more than three years. The Bitcoin price surpassed $80,000 on August 25, reaching a three-month high.
ETF inflows and USDC movement on Binance cannot be aggregated as the same capital flow. The first data point measures demand for regulated investment products, while the second measures dollar-linked trading balances on the exchange. The simultaneous strengthening of the two indicators shows that activity occurred in two separate liquidity channels as Bitcoin rose. The continuation of this support will depend on the persistence of ETF inflows and how the USDC deposited on Binance is utilized.
