Ethereum Alarm at BitMart Amid Ongoing Shutdown: Outflows Hit One-Year Record
Cryptocurrency exchange BitMart has resumed Ethereum (ETH) withdrawals after deciding to halt its operations, triggering a historic wave of outflows on the platform.
BitMart, one of the popular cryptocurrency exchanges, announced a strategic decision to gradually wind down its operations. While uncertainty surrounding the exchange continues following this development, users have initiated a literal race to rescue their assets as the platform resumed allowing Ethereum withdrawals.
According to an official statement from the company, new registrations and deposit transactions were suspended as of July 26, 2026. While all trading services on the exchange are scheduled to conclude entirely on August 26, 2026, the date the platform will completely close its doors is set for January 31, 2027. It was emphasized that withdrawal services will remain open during this process to ensure users are not adversely affected.
BitMart Users Rapidly Withdrawing Ethereum Assets
On-chain data from CryptoQuant indicates massive activity on the platform since BitMart reactivated Ethereum withdrawals. ETH outflows from the exchange have reached their highest level since July 2025. The transaction density over the last 24 hours, in particular, is clearly evidenced by the vertical surge in the data.
With the Ethereum price hovering around $1,880, the number of withdrawal transactions on the exchange suddenly approached the 90 mark, multiplying the averages of previous months. Users appear to be inclined to move their assets to secure wallets without waiting for the platform’s complete shutdown. BitMart management, meanwhile, is calling on all users to close their positions and complete their identity verification processes to withdraw their assets as soon as possible.
