Michael Saylor Shares: Critical $20,587 Threshold in Strategy’s Bitcoin Credit Model

Strategy’s BTC Credit model calculated a hypothetical BTC floor of $16,184 for STRC and $20,587 for the company’s total debt and preferred stock obligations.

Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor shared current data from the BTC Credit model, which evaluates the company’s Bitcoin-backed credit structure. The model’s purpose is to measure the collateral strength of Bitcoin reserves against debt and preferred shares based on various assumptions. The shared levels do not imply an actual default or an existing collateral deficiency.

The calculation is based on assumptions of a $63,701 Bitcoin price, 40 percent volatility, and a 10 percent annual yield. The model includes $53.54 billion in BTC reserves and $4.65 billion in cash reserves. The table also includes a 30.8-year duration indicator for the BTC reserve.

STRC’s BTC Floor is $16,184

The BTC floor determined by the model for STRC shows the hypothetical level at which this instrument would become under-collateralized and is calculated at $16,184. STRC’s BTC exposure stands at 8.84 percent, with a credit spread of 115 basis points. The credit spread represents the additional yield difference investors demand for taking on the risk of the instrument in question.

When debt and preferred shares are considered together, the total nominal value is calculated at $21.95 billion. In the table, the nominal value of STRC, which is among the preferred shares, is shown as $10.254 million. The BTC floor for this combined structure sits at the $20,587 level.
