According to Santiment data, Starknet (STRK) has claimed the top spot among Layer-2 projects with its intensive software development activity over the last 30 days.
Developer activity, one of the most critical factors determining the future of projects in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, is seeing significant momentum in Layer-2 networks. Data analytics platform Santiment listed the top 10 most active Layer-2 projects by examining their code library updates on GitHub. This data reveals how vital projects are not just in terms of price, but also from a technological standpoint.
Starknet Takes the Lead in the Development Race
Ranked first on the list, Starknet (STRK) secured the top position by outpacing its competitors with a development score of 83.97. Improving its ranking compared to last month, the project has been the one taking the most aggressive steps in strengthening its network infrastructure. Starknet is followed by the privacy-focused Aztec (AZTEC) with 66.83 points and Optimism (OP), which maintains a stable performance, with 49.17 points. Notably, the rise of the zkSync (ZK) project to fourth place indicates that the network’s development process is accelerating.
Other Prominent Projects in the Layer-2 Ecosystem
Among the popular networks, Arbitrum (ARB) ranks fifth, while Polygon (POL) drew attention by climbing to seventh place. According to the shared data, although development activities for projects have increased, prices generally remain under pressure. For instance, while the leader Starknet is trading around $0.029794, Polygon, with a market cap of 757.46 million dollars, is hovering around the $0.071009 range.
Projects at the bottom of the list, such as MegaETH (MEGA) and Immutable X (IMX), are working to solidify their positions in the ecosystem by increasing their development momentum. Particularly, the upward trend of Immutable X, a gaming-focused network, proves that Layer-2 solutions are expanding into different sectors. This increase in developer activity is considered critical data for the long-term reliability and network security of the projects.
