South Korean Giant Exchange Announces New Altcoin Listing: To Be Traded in 3 Pairs!

Upbit, South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the listing of a new altcoin.

According to the official announcement made on Upbit’s website on August 7, Block Street (BSB) will begin trading on the platform. BSB will be listed with Korean Won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT) trading pairs on August 7 at 15:00.

Upbit stated that BSB deposits and withdrawals can only be carried out via the Ethereum network. The announcement emphasized that transfers made outside the specified network will not be supported; therefore, investors must check the network before making a transaction. A warning was issued that the refund process for deposits made through the wrong network could take a long time.

It was announced that buy orders for the asset in question will be restricted for the first 5 minutes after trading support begins. Additionally, it was stated that only limit orders will be accepted for approximately 2 hours following the listing.

Furthermore, it was noted that for the first 5 minutes after trading support starts, BSB cannot be sold at prices falling more than 10% below the previous day’s closing price. Upbit also reminded that the prices used as the basis for trading restrictions were determined in accordance with CoinMarketCap data.

According to the disclosed data, the reference closing price for BSB from the previous day was shared as 211.09 KRW in the KRW pair, 0.00000234 BTC in the BTC pair, and $0.1482 in the USDT pair. As of 11:45 on August 7, the current price was announced as 222.34 KRW in the KRW pair, 0.00000242 BTC in the BTC pair, and $0.1569 in the USDT pair.
