This Altcoin Rallied 10% to Its Highest Level Since May, Outperforming Bitcoin!
Cardano (ADA) climbed 10% over the past 24 hours to reach its highest price since May, clearly diverging from Bitcoin and Ethereum’s modest gains.
According to data cited in a CoinDesk report, ADA’s price rose above $0.27 and was also up about 4% since midnight UTC. As a result, Cardano posted a strong rally on a day when major cryptocurrencies remained within their recent price ranges.
Over the same 24-hour period, Bitcoin gained about 1%, while Ethereum rose 0.5%. Bitcoin remained in the $84,000–$87,000 range, while ADA’s double-digit gain drew attention to the altcoin.
Which developments are driving Cardano’s rally?
CoinDesk’s analysis noted that the exact cause of the price increase could not be determined, but highlighted two developments as possible supporting factors: the RealFi product and the network’s upcoming Dijkstra upgrade.
Announced on October 1, RealFi allows users to direct their stablecoins into institutional loans. The product aims to offer returns of up to 9% annually. This development may be supporting interest in revenue-focused products around Cardano.
When will the network’s next phase begin?
The first phase of Cardano’s Dijkstra era, focused on scaling and network optimization, is planned for between late December 2026 and early 2027. This phase aims to increase the network’s transaction capacity by introducing Linear Leios and interleaved transactions.
Upcoming technical changes are viewed as another possible reason for interest in ADA, while the price’s rise to its highest level since May was the rally’s standout result.
