AI Giant Files for IPO as Trading Already Begins on Crypto Exchange

As Anthropic filed to go public in November, 24-hour trading volume in a Hyperliquid contract tied to the company’s expected share price reached $12 million.

According to CoinDesk, AI company Anthropic filed its IPO application on the morning of Monday, October 26. The company is targeting November to begin trading on the stock market; the number of shares to be offered in the IPO and the price range have not yet been announced.

Crypto investors can take positions based on price expectations without waiting for the company to go public. The ANTH contract traded on Hyperliquid is a product tied to Anthropic’s expected share price; it does not represent a direct purchase of company shares.

A rapid drop followed a surge in the ANTH contract

According to figures cited in the report, the contract’s price rose to about $1,980 before falling around 6% within minutes to $1,857. It was later reported to be trading around $1,875.

About $12 million in trading took place in the contract over 24 hours. This volume is not money raised by Anthropic in its IPO, but the value of trades in the contract on Hyperliquid.

Revenue and loss figures in the IPO filing

According to figures from the prospectus cited by CoinDesk, Anthropic reported $16.3 billion in revenue and a net loss of $80.7 billion in the first half of 2026. The IPO’s final pricing and the number of shares to be offered have not yet been determined.

Following the filing, chip stocks also rose in premarket trading in the U.S. Nvidia gained 1.4%, Broadcom rose 1.5%, and Micron gained 2.3%.
