Crypto Investors Shift Course: Stock Volume Explodes 350% on Major Platform

The launch of real stock trading with USDT on Gate.com has caused investors to pull capital from commodities and pivot toward tech giants, leading to a more than 350% surge in stock volume within 30 days.

As the boundaries between the cryptocurrency ecosystem and traditional finance blur, recent developments on the platform reveal a fundamental shift in investor behavior. Real stock trading collateralized by USDT, launched on June 1, 2026, has enabled users to access global markets without the need for traditional brokers. With this new era, crypto investors are seen structurally reshaping their portfolios.

When examining the 30-day data ending July 25, stock trading volume showed a massive increase of over 350%. During the same period, precious metals volume saw a 48% decline, while oil volume dropped by 16%. This proves that rather than seeking a “flight to safety,” investors are shifting their capital into the newly offered stock basket. The fact that the volatility correlation—which expresses the similarity in the speed of price changes between assets—remains positive at 0.59 supports the idea that this rotation is not defensive in nature.

Structural Transformation and Diversification in the Stock Market

While trading volume was initially heavily concentrated on a single asset, SPCX, market leadership has spread across a wide range as the product matured. GOOGLX led the way with 506% growth, while AMZNX and COINX recorded increases of approximately 300%, and MSTRX and INTC saw rises of over 220%. Meanwhile, TSLAX maintained its place among the highest-volume assets with a 129% increase.

According to Gate.com’s second-quarter report, the number of users exceeding 58 million demonstrates the immense liquidity of this ecosystem. The rapid adoption of the traditional finance segment confirms that cryptocurrency platforms have now become a primary destination not just for digital assets, but for all financial instruments. The data reveals that the ability for users to access US stocks without using a traditional broker has permanently altered capital allocation models on the platform.
